This clinical training provides clinicians with specialized instruction in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based approach designed to improve parent-child relationships and address behavioral and emotional challenges in young children. Participants learn to observe and assess parent-child interactions, understand developmental and behavioral principles, and implement structured interventions that promote positive communication, effective discipline, and emotional regulation.
The training emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning through live demonstrations, role-plays, and supervised practice. Clinicians are guided in coaching parents in real-time, using strategies to strengthen attachment, enhance positive behaviors, and manage challenging behaviors effectively. By completing this training, clinicians gain the skills and confidence to deliver PCIT with fidelity, improving outcomes for children and families in a clinical setting.
